Four hours after your treatment, gently wash your face with warm water. You should not apply makeup or sunscreen for at least 24 hours following your treatment. Dr. Sadati will advise you when you can go back to using your regular skin care products. You must avoid alcohol-based toners for at least two weeks.

For 72 hours prior to treatment, you should not use any Retin-A products and limit your exposure to the sun. Prior to the treatment, please make sure that your face is clean and free of makeup.

Am I a Good Candidate for Vivace Microneedling in Orange County2017-04-28T23:44:53+00:00

You are a good candidate for Vivace Microneedling if you are willing to travel to our Orange County office and are self-conscious about large pores, acne, wrinkles or stretch marks. You should be in good health and a non-smoker. If you do smoke, you’ll be asked to stop for at least three weeks before and after the procedures, as smoking can delay the healing process. You should not have any active infection or lesions on the areas of skin being treated.

Good candidates must also have realistic expectations for their Vivace Microneedling treatment(s). When skillfully performed by a board certified plastic surgeon such as Dr. Sadati, patients are generally delighted with the results.

The best way to determine if you’re a good candidate for Vivace Microneedling is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Sadati at our Orange County office.

How many Vivace Microneedling treatments will I need?2017-05-02T18:36:03+00:00

We generally recommend a series of three or more treatments. However, our recommendation will vary depending on your skin’s condition and your goals. Treatments are usually spaced three weeks apart at our Orange County office. We will provide you with a treatment plan during your consultation.

What happens during a Vivace Microneedling treatment?2017-05-02T18:38:12+00:00

You will be provided a topical anesthetic to apply to your skin 30 minutes prior to your treatment to keep you comfortable. We will then use a hand piece to open the skin channels.  Treatments take between 30 and 60 minutes and can be performed on all parts of your body due to the flexibility of the treatment.

These microscopic openings, also called “fractionated injuries” can stay open for 4 to 6 hours, which is the key to a successful outcome. Based on your desired results we administer additional serums to rejuvenate your skin and promote healing. Studies show that these micro-channels can increase the absorption of topical treatments by more than 80 percent.

Can Vivace Microneedling be customized to my needs?2017-05-02T18:39:14+00:00

Yes! Vivace Microneedling is extremely customizable. We are able to select the size, depth, and flexibility of the needles leaving you with a tailored treatment. We can also control the length of time the needles are in contact with your skin and the power of the radio-frequency waves.  After your consultation, we will choose the optimal settings needed to create the results you desire. Because Vivace Microneedling is so customizable, the success of your treatment is highly dependent on the skill of the provider
